Singapore Biennale

The identity was inspired by the Biennale theme ‘Open House.’ Working with the global symbol for house as an outline and placing it on an angle created multiple layers of meaning and possibility. Additionally, the outline could be applied as a framing tool, referencing new ways of seeing and participating. The open area of the logo also references a rupture to conformity, a peephole. Neon orange was inspired by the multiple usages of safety orange, a warning color, an alert, and a reference to construction. This worked well with curatorial ideas of flux.
