Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s venture Red Rooster Harlem, named after the legendary Harlem speakeasy, celebrates the diverse culinary traditions of a New York neighborhood. The red window awnings and typefaces recall classic Parisian cafe-culture. A hanging light-box and the bulb signage out front beckon to another era. From the awnings to the logo design, the window signage and typography, we looked to the past to embellish the present.
